In this music video there were many ways we could improve. on of which being if we made the shots cut to the musoc, this would have made the video look smoother aswell as he music. also we could pick the clips that didn't lag as much so the music video looked more professional and pleasing on the eye. lastly another way wich we could o improved is by making sure we got a clip of where the lead singer definatly knew all the words because at times it didn't look like he did but we put it in there anyway.

screen cast script
Looking at our audience survey we realize that the majority of people that we interviewed were 16 so we could get a lot of similar answers.
Most of the people we interviewed were male, most people favorite genres were horror, this also helped us decided and make sure our genre was thriller because it appears as our audience enjoy it.
Everyone that we asked had seen a thriller and almost everyone said they enjoyed it which was good because the people we asked were mainly our target audience.
We asked them how does it make you feel and a lot of the feedback we got from then was very positive answering all the questions we got from them correctly as you can see from this table of results.
Again more positive feedback in this set of results about where the film should be set as you could see here.
Also a good set of results when asked about who should be introduced in the intro the hero and the villain were the main answer which was really good as you can see
Lastly some very interesting answers when asked about the music all the answers could have been taken into consideration when filming but we took the one that was mainly requested

Question 4
Question 4
'who would be the audience for your media product?'
Society group: the society group could fall into a lot of different catagories; however underclass people might not fully understand our film so it is based probably between working class- lower middle/ middle class. One reason we picked these groups is so that people are intelectual enough to understand the film but not to stuck up and snobby about it.
The age group we have picked was a late teenager to an adult. so for example a 17 year old to a 25 year old or maybe a bit older. the reason we have picked these is because the character that gets killed is a real party person who is also a young adult so this age group will be able to relate to the charcter and what she does.
What hobbies they like: just an averge person does a lot ofsports, goes out with there friends a lot, uses social network a lot of social networks to talk to friends, probably plays sme video games.

Question 3
What kind of media institution might
distribute your media product and why?
Before we thought of our distributor for our film we decided on what our target audience would be so we can see what distributing companies produce films that have the same target audience as us. Our target audience is aimed at young adults for roughly 16 to 25 year olds. one reason is because they can relate to the killed character. We also thought of the name and meaning which is why we went with 'Exodus 20:13' to show them that the main theme is religous.
After looking at the different production companies we decided to go to 'Lionsgate' The reason we chose this company is because they have been know to realize very touching matters in films like religion, racism and killing. all very controversial films like 'saw' and 'American phsico'. we thought as we have a controversial film where racism is a key concept we thought Lionsgate would be a perfect choice. Also this distributing company normally distribute lots of low budget films we thought as we had no budget to do our opening sequence in we thought that lionsgate would be a good choice again.
Are own company name is called 'testament studios' One reason we picked this is because our film has a big religious theme in it so we decided to try and find a word that has something to do with religion without making it to obvious so we picked testament. another reason was because we really wanted a cross with a logo and we wanted something that linked in with the cross which is religious so we picked something else religious.

Questions 1 and 2
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
In Media we have been told we have to do a short 2 minute opening sequence to a film. My groups choice was to do a thriller film opening sequence. Before we actually started filming and planning our ideas for our opening sequence we had to look at other opening sequences and look for similar conventions. An opening sequence is useually there to give the audince a small taste on what the film ahead is going to be like and put a picture in there heads. When looking my group saw a lot of similar convventions of a opening sequence. For example slow paced editing to show the audince where we are, setting to show the audince where it will be mainly set, Titles to show the audience who is in the film. One thing I felt was mainly important is the fact that an opening sequence is there to introduce the characters. They opening sequence shows us a main character maybe a small part of the problem he will face, where he lives, what he does and basically get to see there lives before the problems occuer.
After looking at all the different films we had to make a discision on what conventions we would use in our thriller opening sequence. As we chose the thriller opening we decided on low key lighting. One reason we dicided on this is because because once we looked at th low key lgihting we realised it left the audince feeling quite weary which is the affct we wanted our audience to feel and we thought by starting with a dark atmosphire it would hopefully go on through out the res of the film. Another thing that was important in our filming was to decide what sound effects to put in.while editing. one thing we used was a big drop in the music when the killer looks up to make the audince seem afraid of they killer.Another important factor was the fact that we had to think about what types of shots we used. this mainly had close ups in it as it was a good way on introducing the characters and it showed clarly the items that related to are charcters.
I personally thought our opening sequence was very good in the way that we inculded a lot of different components and elements in our opening sequence which deffinatly sucked the audience in and kept them interested. however we didnt really have a plot opening in our opening sequence as we only really saw the face of one character.
How does you Media product represent particular social groups?
Are opening sequence didnt really have many social groups involved in it we only had a couple. One of them happened to be a religous social group. the reason this is one is because one of the main characters in our film is a religous killer who believes everyone should follow Gods rules. However he almost goes against his own social groups as he is a murderer and by doing this he is going agaisnt his and gods own rules because god says 'thou shall not kill'. The murderer is a dark character for one obvious reason that he is a murderer; also the fact that he has his hood up and almost faced covered in the whole opening.
Our other social group is the young adult group which like to go clubbing, enjoy life and not think of the consiquences he rough age of about 18 to 25 at a push. the character in our crime drama represents this sterotype almost exactly and goes against a lot of religous rules which is why she gets killed by our religous character. our character is mainly represented throught the close ups of the items like neurofen and the fact that there are a pair of shoes and a dress.
Lastly another social groups could be detectives that are called in with the police help solve things like murders. .The charcters in our crime drama represents this sterotype because in our crime drama we will have loads of detectives cominmg in to solve the crime about who murdered the girl.

Titles
Shortly after making this video we brainstromed diffrent ideas as to what our film title could be. We chose it is going to be called ''
'' We have chosen this due to it meaning ''Thou shall not kill'' in the Bible. We also chose this font as we thought it was best suited for the name of the film and the feel given.

Character descriptions and casting decisions
We have discussed within our group who should play each role and why. This helped us to understand each character in more depth.
