the diffrence between a opening sequence and a trailer

The differences between a trailer and an opening sequence are that a trailer advertises the film and show us short clips of the film (usually the best parts)to get the viewer interested and make them come and watch the film without giving to much away leaving you ask questions.

However an opening sequence shows us the main actors, title sequence, soundtrack, the setting and normally shows us what the film will be about.
